International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum Announces 2008 Inductees
Arthur "Bob" Beatty Jr., The Brooklyn All Stars, Melvin Couch, Dr. Vernard Johnson, The Pilgrim Jubilees, and Rev. Ernest Davis, Jr's Wilmington Chester Mass Choir are this year's inductees to the International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
Detroit, MI (PRWEB) August 7, 2008 -- Arthur "Bob" Beatty Jr., The Brooklyn All Stars, Melvin Couch, Dr. Vernard Johnson, The Pilgrim Jubilees, and Rev. Ernest Davis, Jr's Wilmington Chester Mass Choir are this year's inductees to the International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum
The 2008 inductees, nominated from around the world and selected by the IGMHFM board, were announced by founder David Gough. Brief bios of all inductees can be found on the organization's Web site, www.igmhf.org. Inductee news will also be posted on GospelCity.com, BlackGospelPromo.com. and DetroitGospel.com

The International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum's 12th annual induction and awards fund raiser gala will be held in Detroit on Saturday, October 25, 2008. We are also excited to announce that our Master of Ceremony will be none other than the magnificent Vickie Winans. Tickets are available now: $75.00 in advance $100.00 at the door.
Nominees for the International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum must have been involved in gospel music activities for at least 25 years. Individuals, groups, choirs, quartets, broadcast personalities and promoters are represented among past years' inductees. Among more than 104 previous inductees are Donnie McClurkin, CeCe Winans, Della Reese, The Dixie Hummingbirds, Dr. Bobby Jones and The Meditation Singers.
About the International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum
Founded in 1995 as a non-profit organization by DoRohn Entertainment's president and gospel artist David Gough, the International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum preserves and celebrates the work of the world's legendary and influential gospel music artists and entertainers.
The museum, open for tours by appointment, is housed in the studios of DoRohn Entertainment. Its collections include recordings, documents, photographs and memorabilia. Archivists and music experts are also available to assist students and researchers. Plans are now moving forward to build a new facility for the Hall of Fame and Museum in Detroit.

International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum Celebrates 11th Anniversary of Inductions
It was a night of elegance and praise as the 11th annual International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum® (IGMHFM) honored the class of 2007 inductees and raised funds for a new museum site. A highlight of the evening was an appearance by City of Detroit Mayor Kwamee M. Kilpatrick who did the presentation and induction of Bishop G.E. Patterson posthumously.
